For those who aren’t aware of the fact – except for the well-seasoned New Yorker – the New York Post’s Page Six has a universal, trendy following.

At the time the article below appeared, Gloria Shepherd was still considered a newcomer to the City’s more stylish faction, and for her to wake up one morning and read the commentary that featured her newly-published biography on the life and rumored killing of Rolling Stones founder, Brian Jones, seemed a dream come true.

To this day, Ms. Shepherd still has no idea why – of all the stories contained in her book – the New York Post chose to print this somewhat bizarre (but true) anecdote.
